Jiah Khan Personal Life

Jia Khan was born on February 20, 1988 in New York but raised in Chelsae, London. She is the daughter of Ali Rizvi Khan, a Muslim Indian American, and Rabiya Amin, a Hindi film actress from Agra who is mostly remembered in Tahir Hussain's Dulha Bikta Hai. Jia is the eldest among three daughters, her original name was Nafisa, but she changed the name to Jiah after Angelina Jolie's movie GIA, citing that it was sexier.

Jiah Khan Scolled Ranbir kapoor ears

Young actress Jiah Khan became the butt of a joke when she mistakenly pulled yesteryear actor Randhir Kapoor's ears on the sets of her forthcoming film Housefull.

"Jiah plays Randhir Kapoor's daughter in the film and for a particular sequence Sajid Khan told her to apologise to Randhir Kapoor and hold her ears and ask for forgiveness but due to some misunderstanding she thought she had to hold Randhirji's ears and did the same," said a source.

"Everyone on the set started laughing at her goof-up and Randhir Kapoor himself was amused by the incident," added the source.


Housefull starring Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Ritesh Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal apart from Jiah is slated to hit the screens April 30.

You play a traditional role in Housefull.
Yes, I’ve always wanted to try and do films that are different from my previous ones. A traditional character is something that I’ve never done before and also something that audiences would have never expected from me. Though, you must keep in mind that in Housefull, everything is not as it seems.

How often do you wear traditional clothes?
Almost never. For the film, Aki Narula created some fabulous costumes and I felt like a princess in them. Since I’m not used wearing Indian clothes, it took some time to get used to wearing the saris and dancing in them. By the end of the shoot, I was really comfortable in the attire. I’m glad I did this because it’s part of my culture.
